SAE Institute First U.K Education Provider to Install SSL AWS 900 and Mackie dXb Consoles
Solid State Logic's AWS 900 is a revolutionary combination of a compact world-class analogue mixing console and a comprehensive DAW controller. Based on SSL's flagship XL 9000 K Series console, the AWS 900 provides everything needed to record, edit and mix professional projects.
The SSL AWS 900 has been installed at the London campus with a Pro Tools HD system and will be used by students for their music productions.
The new dXb is Mackie's newest professional digital production console with selectable operation up to 192kHz, dual touch-screens plus mouse control, Firewire I/O option for streaming audio to/from desktop or laptop Mac and PC computers, Mackie Control Universal Layer with built-in control for Pro Tools, Logic, Nuendo, and many other features that fit the exact needs for sound engineers now, and in the future.
These upgrades are a part of several worldwide SAE upgrades which include purchases of 10 SSL AWS 900s, 10 Digidesign ICONs, and 15 Mackie dXbs.
These new additions to SAE London can be seen in person at SAE's next Open Day which is scheduled for Sunday 5th June from 12-5pm.
Visitors of the Open Day can have a guided tour of SAE's facilities at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
The Open Day will also give the public the chance to learn about the many courses SAE offers in Audio Engineering, Creative Media and Digital Film.
